The C-for-Chinese@JC project organises various events such as symposiums, workshops, and sharing sessions to advocate the exchange of knowledge and experience among families, schools, and community stakeholders.
The webinar aimed to unite educators, social service professionals, school leaders, and parents to explore best practices in creating inclusive learning environments for non-Chinese speaking (NCS) students. Featuring renowned scholars from the Asian region and the Project, discussions centred on leveraging Funds of Knowledge (FoK), Culturally Responsive Education (CRE), and Culturally Responsive Service (CRS) in kindergartens and primary schools to enhance Chinese language acquisition and support multicultural classrooms.

To further promote multicultural inclusion and assist non-Chinese speaking (NCS) ethnic minority parents in creating a joyful and effective learning environment at home, the project organised the "Parent Academy Awards Ceremony" and the "Multicultural Marvels" event. These activities brought together NCS families from diverse backgrounds to celebrate their achievements and engage in interactive exchanges.

The aim of the event was to encourage non-Chinese speaking (NCS) ethnic minority (EM) parents to develop their children's learning abilities and promote multicultural inclusion.
In addition to honouring parents who have been actively supporting their children‘s learning journey, the event featured several fantastic performances, a series of booth games and experiential workshops.

The Conference took on an overarching theme “Embrace Cultural Diversity to Support Young Learners at School, Home, and Community” with the aims to bring home, schools and community stakeholders together to network, discuss and enhance the learning of both non-Chinese speaking (NCS) and Chinese speaking students at an early age.
